Our Discovery Document Positioning System (Discovery DPS) analyzes document collections to identify points of interest. 

Our DPS Rovers go to work immediately after preservation and image OCR.  You’ll get corpus results at a glance so you’ll know information assets immediately.  We also provide a complimentary Collection Survey Report following all paper and electronic capture procedures.

DPS Rovers showcase document features including:

Concepts - Allow reviewers to obtain an understanding of large texts based on identification of key concepts in the areas of linguistic analysis, thematic context and frequency of words and phrases.

Entities - Determine persons, organizations, and geographies using algorithms that identify potential entities via comparison to indices of known entity names.

Characteristics – Indicate particular types of documents based on individual elements.   Since many documents are created and stored as compound documents, identifying characteristics better indicates the type of information in a document and is more useful than assigning a particular limited “type.”

File Formats – Identify general document contents via electronic file formats.  When combined with the other DPS Survey elements, file formats map the document collection.

Routes for Success

Survey Reports. Using our complimentary Collection Survey as a guide, detail reports are available for any box, directory or other logical boundary.  Each report supports the continued refinement of your document processing and review strategy.

Baseline Coordinates. Our Collection Survey is performed using general business classifications, language lexicons and entity dictionaries.  Everyone starts at the same baseline survey with a common set of business parameters for processing and document analytics.

Custom Routes. Our DPS Rovers are configurable to redirect analysis based on industry or case specific indices and taxonomies. They can go to work on the entire collection or focus on pre-determined subsets.  You define the parameters to control the work.
